Crawfordsville March 22 – Services will be held
here Sunday afternoon for F. Louis Schlemmer, 54, artist and former instructor
at Wabash College who died unexpectedly Friday at Culver Hospital. Mr.
Schlemmer was born in Crawfordsville and attended Wabash College with the class
of 1914. He was a member of the Kappa
Sigma Fraternity. In WWI, he served as a Lt. of infantry. He was graduated from
Chicago Art Institute where he also taught three years. The widow, a daughter,
Mrs. Ralph Flowers of Oxford, O, a sister, Miss Hildegarde Schlemmer, a teacher
in Willimantic, Conn; two half sisters, Mrs. Caroline weidling of NY and Miss
Charlotte Schlemmer of Florida and a brother, Will Schlemmer of Crawfordsville
survive. The body will be cremated. - kbz
